Congresss THIS WEEK is sset to pass the Singapor Free Trade agreement which among other things would permit an UNLIMITED number of white collar professionals to immigrate here and compete with US workers for jobs. These aren't jsut white collar workers, either. Because of the nature of the arrangement, they cannot leave the employer that brings them over, or they have to leave the country. How owuld you like to compete against an indentured servant?
In IT , the market has been flooded with TI foreigners who are also indentured servants. The result is no American can find a job int IT anymore. There foreigners are called H1Bs , in reference to the Visa, H-!B, on which they are here.
Get this- anyone who has a college education from Singapore or Brazil can come here and compete with you for a job. What's more, employers PREFER them because they CAN"T QUIT... this is indentured servitude.. and beleive me, you're going to be looking a lot worse to prospective employers if htis free trade agreement goes through.
PLEASE CALL your congressperson and tell them to NOT let this bill go through- if you ever want to work again.
