My company pays for the time out on jury duty up to two weeks. The employee turns over his/her jury duty pay to us to receive the normal paycheck.
An employee would be expected to use PTO for personal court issues, whether voluntary or involuntary (i.e. witnessing a car accident.) |

If you work for Midland National Life, their HR department does not follow the laws. They make up their own and threaten the employees while the managers take 2 hour lunch breaks, 4 hour meeting breaks to go golfing, etc.....They basically won't even let women take their full maternity leave. The only way to cope is to quit. But why should you have to quit a job you love? I could not go on jury duty because of the employer not following rules. We don't even have PTO.
