Message: No amount of cajoling your new...or should I say potential...employer is going to get them to move faster. If you're out of money, keep looking for another job while you get another basic job locally. If another job comes up, don't tell the "potential" employers because they need to be treated the same way they're treating you. They won't change until it hurts, until they see they've lost a good recruit because of their own management stupidity. Best advice I've ever received is "listen to what they do, not what they say". Their actions are speaking very loudly and its not a good message. I'd write them off, then take the job if they offer it, but don't plan on staying long. Good luck.
