why can't johnny use style sheets? |

ok, maybe it is a sign of my generation. maybe it is a sign that i'm a computer geek. or, maybe most folks are just dumb. why is it that so many people still don't know how to get the most out of such basic programs as word and excel? also, why can't folks learn that the computer is a tool like a pen is a tool, but it works more efficiently.
from merging to simple calculations, to storage of large volumes of documents, it seems that no matter where i go, 98% of the people i meet have rudimentary computer skills. sure they can type, print, use spell check, attach documents to emails. but they can't use style sheets, simple formulas in excel, or come up with a uniform method of storing documents.
why, oh why? am i alone here?
