I??m looking for sources to interview (on and off-the-record) for a tongue-in-cheek story I??ll be pitching to national dailies and business magazines about the inventive ways people pretend to work in order to buy a little ??undertime?? from the stresses of work. This isn??t meant as a guide for defrauding your company. Rather, I??m looking for anecdotes, especially personal accounts, of how employees have used ingenious goldbricking tactics for making a little breathing room for themselves in order to stay sane ?? and productive. For example, using the lowly filing folder to hide that you're really reading a novel; setting your computer to automatically email superiors at the crack of dawn, even as you sleep soundly; etc. The more bizarre and funny, the better. Email me directly, if you prefer, at paber@tampabay.rr.com
