Dear Anonymous: You should lose your job because you practice discrimination; which has no place in civilized society. If there is a problem with visible piercings (other than earrings) in the workplace, there should be a clearly written policy in an HR Handbook. If a candidate can perform a job, your personal opinion about appearance doesn't matter. Denying a person the right to work because of a piercing is the same as denying me a job because I am an African-American female over 30. |

Your are not BORN with a nose ring. You CHOOSE to get a nose ring. A company has a right to not allow certain "dresscodes". If you don't like it, then start your own comapny or work for one that accepts your "standards" of what is acceptable. No company has gone under because of no presence of nose ringed employees.
