In Reply To: In general I find it oppressive, unfulfilling and soul crushing. It's all about egos and suppressing people who don't fit the "cookie cutter." Anyone who says it's all about making the company money is naive. It's about hanging out with buddies and getting rid of people who don't fit that mold, whatever it is. If it makes the company money, that's a bonus. I've been in the business world less than 15 years, but this is how things look to me.
Message: I have been working for corporate America for about 10 years since college and I'm currently feeling the pressure to leave my job. Why? Cause I don't fit in to their "cookie cutter" ways. There was some new management here and they want to do things differently. All of my hard work doesn't matter, neither does my education. I have been told I have been having some "problems". Funny, I never had any "problems" during the past few years I've been here and have never had any "problems" at any other job I've held. I think other people have "problems", it's their way of telling me to leave.
