In general I find it oppressive, unfulfilling and soul crushing. It's all about egos and suppressing people who don't fit the "cookie cutter."
Anyone who says it's all about making the company money is naive. It's about hanging out with buddies and getting rid of people who don't fit that mold, whatever it is. If it makes the company money, that's a bonus.
I've been in the business world less than 15 years, but this is how things look to me.
