Message: Thanks -- I've been trying to reprogram my thought processes these days and I'm feeling a little better. Basically, i've accepted that this new job is just a stepping stone to something bigger. Once I realized this, I was able to take myself and this job a little less seriously. I've dismissed all my fantastical notions of "staying in this industry forever and making huge leaps and bounds in the company". I'm just considering this as a learning experience. I just think it's easy as a new college graduate to think that you'll stay forever with the first company that hires you. That kind of commitment is outdated anyways. Especially in my industry -- people come and go every year. Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm breathing a little easier these days.
