Message: To find out about a company's culture during the interview process asking the following questions, during the interviews and of any current or fomer employees, might elicit responses that will better define the company's culture: 1. If I were to talk to 5 different employees, from the top to the bottom of the organization, what 4 responses to the question "What do you like about working at XXX" would be exactly the same?" You should hear some consistent answers that would more than likely reflect the values and mores of the company. Because values transcend hierarchial rankings!!!! 2. For god's sake you want to make sure you work at a company where humor and laughter are part of the culture...it helps ease the indecenies inherent in any organization, so, ask the interviewer how he/she has observed humor expressed in the organization? If there's no coherent and knowledgeable answer, a "thank you" but "no thank you" response from you is certainly understandable. Hope this helps out...
