I'll be working in New York at an I-Bank starting this summer and need to find a place to live. I've heard that Manhattan is really expensive and that Hoboken is a good alternative given that it's relatively cheap and has a lot of places to hang out. Where should I live? |

I may be biased, but I think the best place to live is Fresh Meadows. A 1BR rents for under 1K, and the express bus will whisk you to 3Av, 6Av, or Wall St in less than an hour.
