I'm doing a feature story about piercings and how they affect a person's employment. Especially a person who's just entering the job market from college. I'm looking for input from employers on what they will and will not accept in terms of piercings. I'm also looking for stories from people who have gone through this situation and what job field you entere. I'm trying to compile a list of job markets that are piercing friendly and those that aren't. Thanks for your help!! |

I see a lot of tattoos & body piercings in my city. Wouldn't you agree there is a sort of "body art" culture? ...some of it tasteful, some not? Intelligent people can distinguish body art for religious or personal 'aesthetic' reasons, and the other what I would call that sort of 'in-your-face/chip-on-the-shoulder' defiance. The shock value is lost on me, and I get a little tired of it sometimes. Big deal, you know? People can look good & sexy the way they are naturally, without all the tattoos and piercings.
