Dear African-American female over 30 - sans the race card -it's extremely old and worn out. Obviously, company policy dictates; however, appearance has nothing to do with discrimination - it has everything to do with professionalism. |

But, people still discrimate based on race. I bet there are plenty of Arab-Americans who would agree with me on this one, right about now.
I work in academia. It seems that almost anything goes here; e.g., piercings, dread locks, tattoos....
