I am a Marketing Manager - overseeing a corporate marketing department for 500+ employee firm. My boss has no marketing education / experience; his 15+ years background is in a completely different area. The problem is that he always takes credit for my work and ideas to compensate for his lack of "know-how", and to look good in front of the board of directors / president. HR is unreceptive, what should I do? |

Sometimes something as simple as putting your name on the the project proposal can work in deterring a boss from taking credit. When your boss is not around ask your bosses boss how they liked your project/proposal. If it really was your idea and you know all the in's and out's of the plan, your conviction will show when you talk about it. By the way, Bitter and Jaded is funny, but sooo right.
