Topic Name: Working In New York, Where To Live?
Message Name: Forget Hoboken!
Date Posted: 07/24/2001
In Reply To: I'll be working in New York at an I-Bank starting this summer and need to find a place to live. I've heard that Manhattan is really expensive and that Hoboken is a good alternative given that it's relatively cheap and has a lot of places to hang out. Where should I live?
Message: Hoboken rents are just as high and in some cases higher than those in NYC. There is almost no parking at all and it's hard to get around. Hoboken is way overpriced! On top of that there are a lot of pretentious people. Oh sure there are some good restaurants but every city has some. Just forget about Hoboken altogether please!
