In Reply To: taking out a nose ring is the least of the compromises you'll need to make at most jobs. In terms of attire, I have friends at law firms who have had to get rid of suits in all colors other than black, navy and gray - even brown was considered to be too edgy. At least they were allowed to wear pants - when I was working at a law firm the head partner - a hateful man in many, many ways - required all female attorneys to wear skirts at all times, even on Fridays when they had no meetings planned. Then there's all the other things you're going to have to do to climb the corporate ladder: Laugh at your boss' unfunny jokes. Contribute to gift funds for people you don't know from a hole in the wall. Spend your precious spare time socializing with clients you can't stand. And that's if you're lucky enough to work at a company that doesn't require you to do things like stand idly wby while they illegally discriminate against coworkers, or help them hush up illegal activities. Face it, taking out the nose ring is the least of your problems!
Message: welcome to the real world kiddo.
