All these messages are full of horse doughnuts. The people who have the power in this country (dominated by large corporations) are rich older white men and they dictate our personal liberties. In fact, we have very little personal freedom in the United States today. It is pathetic that we take hours to debate what to wear to work and only the "preppie look" and good connections count, not having good moral values or caring about people. If anyone does not believe that these powerful corporations control our government today, look at who is President and his oil and gas buddies! Forget the environment, just ruin it and take the profits from more oil and gas exploration. Corporations dictate every aspect of our lives and if you don't play the game, you will become one of America's poor. |

I have to agree with some of the posters who have pointed out that the culture and nature of business will likely be the difference of accepting or rejecting someone with piercings or tatoos.
I used to be in the clothing business and it was very common in the world of design, art & fashion.
Now, I work at a small privately-owned business. 10 employees all together. Our office assistant is young and has several piercings (tounge, eyebrow, dozens on the ears etc.). We all love her just the same.
She would not be able to sport this body-jewelry at any of our client's businesses. I don't know what her future plans are, but for now, she wears the jewelrey and no one cares...it certainly does not effect her performance in any way whatsoever. She rocks!
