Age, gender, religion etc. are illegal to discriminate against but everthing else is acceptable. It's a hiring process and one is choosen over another. It is up to the employer to determine what is acceptable not the employee. Get used to it! |

Just take the nose ring out. Simple solution. There's a lot you have to change when you get out of college and enter the working world. You also can't wear what you sleep in into work(one of my favorite things about college). Yes, it sucks, you can't be yourself yada yada yada, but it's just how things work. When we bring clients into the office, the last thing that they need to see is someone expressing themselves with piercings, hair colors, etc. And in no way is this discrimination. No comparison at all to race, age, sex.
