I believe that the Uzi thing was a joke people.
Do not, repeat: DO NOT Burn bridges. Even if you think that this company and boss is going down in flames, there is such a greater chance that you will have some sort of interaction with this boss again you would not believe it. Even if it's only on a social level, there is no reason to go in and tell the guy to go to hell. The only thing that will accomplish is to give you a good story to tell people and to put something out there that can come back and kick you in the ass. Write a resignation letter, go to your boss, give him two weeks if not more to help train another person(only if that fits your new job schedule) and tell him the reasons that you left with a sugar coating. Plus, in this market, make sure that you have a new job offer signed and ready to go. Best of luck.
