I am a sales executive for a company that is doing very well. Against my peers I have been meeting or exceeding expectations, and all of a sudden, I get a written warning of unacceptable performance. This is an EXTREME SHOCK!!!
My first reaction is to complain to corporate, this is unfair and unjustified... however, I have a great deal of stock options and would worry about hastening my demise.
Either they're testing me, someone wants me out, or this is some ballbusting motivational technique. I don't want to lose this job, and took a paycut to be here... as well as makeing other sacrifices.
Either way...what should I do? |

If you are in sales, your performance is measured (it's where the rubber meets the road)!
Without knowing the details I would suggest:
- look for another place that needs you (your sales);
- at the same time, point out to management that there must have been a typo of some sort!
Good luck!
