Message: I've been at a new job for 2 months and originally took the position because it was a better company, better title and seemed to be a step up. It turns out, my new boss tells people what they want to hear to get them to do what she wants - i.e. telling me it would be a step up. In fact, it has been a huge step back - my responsibilities are far less than originally described. When I left my old position, they tried everything under the sun to get me to stay and had to hire 2 people to fill my shoes. I'm not sure how to handle this: do I go back to the old job assuming they'll take me? I know the logical answer is to try to work it out but I don't see a workable solution. Help!
