In Reply To: Need help!! Is there something I can do/should do when I feel that my colleague told our boss what I told her to keep just between us? In one of my conversations with this colleague, I mentioned that I was very sad and confused early part of this year due to some misguided directions for my role due to the re-org/re-structuring in our company. And I feel, it????s maybe the right time for me to consider other positions. (may be not the right term I used????). This colleague just joined us recently and we had some casual chats. Told her to keep it between us. However, it feels that our boss learned about my doubts. He sent the 2 of us an email recently, saying ???? your current roles are secure within the department????????. I????m more worried about my future relationship with my boss rather than my security in the job. Seems that there will be ????trust???? issues with my boss. Is there anything I should do here? Please help. Thanks
Message: This is best time for you to build a trust factor with your boss now, since your status is knowing to your boss, better walk-in to him and say what grievances you had earlier. Now things are clear to him and you are more stable in job, ask few tips to enhance your efforts in new role. You can even disclose some interactions you had with competitors development which will give him an idea of what you have been upto. Keep everything transparent and enjoy work challenges. Thanks!!
