I also face a verbally abusive coworker who is fresh out of school and was put to a management position due to coming from a good school but has no real world experience or understanding for the work at hand besides being able to play the talk card. There is an anger problem that the brunt of us faced at any unpredictable time, but it is hard for the boss to realize this anger problem and this employee's incompetency because this person is very fun aside when doing actual work. |

Your situation sounds very familiar to me. It seems that some people who are hiring staff make this HUGE mistake of just looking at a person's schooling without even considering their character and if they have the practical wisdom and experience in order to know what they are doing on the job. I also find that TALK is rather CHEAP when there is REAL WORK to be done. I think that it is a form of "Political Brown Nosing" all in an effort to empress those who are higher up, and it is actually quite SAD to see that some people are really fooled by it. I have seen these GAMES being played before in a place that I use to work at which is now CLOSED DOWN!. It just goes to show how things can deteriorate when the work place ends up being run by incompetent supervisor's and disgruntled workers(who feel cheated out of a promotion). It only ends up being a horrible workplace atmosphere which eventually KILLS the business.
