I know it may sound stupid, but I'm wondering what the key differences exist between VC (Accel, KKR) and corporate PE.
Just curious.

...is that corporate PE is more strategic then VC. Microsoft for example would never invest in the next eBay, but would invest in some wire-less internet company that wanted to use Windows CE on its devices.
