What do you mean difficult in this market?
There are hundreds of corporates selling divisions to focus on core skills meaning there are loads of buyout opps around. poerhaps more deals are not going through as negotiations are faltering over pricing but if anything I would say there is plenty of scope out there to originate deals.
Where I agree with chickenshit is that if you have a better opportunity you should pursue that. Unless the partners at this firm have good track records it sounds like you may end up in a thrid division firm with little prospect of finding a way to promote yourself to a division two firm. |
