The question is whether the firm is good, reputable, and will have you do good work.
If the answer to those three questions is yes, then there's no doubt you should take the job.
There's no downside - you already have your CPA and could find another job in a second once people know you were at a VC.
The contacts are buildable. Your firm will sponsor you to go to a lot of conferences. Grab a drink, let people know you're a VC, and you'll have no trouble meeting people.

Could you further define "good and reputable"
Under what criterion should one base these titles? Would you give the same advice to someone who is coming straight out of undergraduate school with some operations but no banking or consulting experience?
Please also comment on the salary ranges that should be expected.
