In Reply To: Do any of you know how to land a VC position right out of undergrad school or if it's possible? Any thoughts would help.. Thanks
Message: Apply and pray, The new Incubators and Catalyst may be worth a look. Many are hiring and you might get some hands on company experience too. You are not bringing much to the table. VC shops are not usually a place you start but a place your grow into. Experience, a solid track record of being able to execute and a record of making money are all key ingredients (it is not like picking stocks). Many different backgrounds can work but usually the people have proven themselves first. Some larger VCs and some corporate VCs will hire at the Associate level but that also leans toward the post MBA type.
