Hi,
I have completed medical school and I am now finshing my first year of residency training. I have decided that I wish to pursue a career in venture capital, specifically within the biotechnology sector.
I have a firm scientific background and experience in both the hospital and outpatient setting. I know how to communicate in scientific circles, and I am comfortable with new technology in these areas. However, I have no formal experience in banking or other big business.
What positions am I qualified for, if any, within venture capital? Do I need to go to business school before I even apply? Would a headhunter be able to help me?
I sincerely appreciate any information or advice that anyone can provide.
