In Reply To: I have received such positive feedback from my post, and I thank you all. I've received tons of wonderful resumes and I wish I had room to take on each and every one of you -- who knows -- I've come up with some kickass solutions in tighter spots, just give me a while to think. (Hey...now there's an idea...a VC firm run by all intern-types...lower fees, great service...we'd blow the socks off the State Street boys...heh) Just to give you an idea of what *we* mean when we say intern... You don't make copies all day. You don't sit in boring meetings and not allowed to offer your opinion. You don't do boring, repetitive, mindless research. You don't make sales calls so boss can earn big commissions. We drill you on the finer points of business planning, valuation, and presentation. If you have the smarts and demonstrate the initiative, we'll give you a couple of small clients to work the financing loop for -- everything from business plan review to handholding to presentation to paperwork to packaging to due diligence nightmares to closing. Yep, you can do all that in 90 days if you're savvy and have hustle. We pay you. (Well, it's not huge, but you'd be pleased) We don't have set office hours. You reap what you sow. But -- if you are a slackard, be expect to be sent packing. Now, those of you who have interned elsewhere are invited to tell me what's missing from our idea -- we welcome the thoughts. Sleepily (California, you know), Venturist
Message: I was wondering if it would be possible to send you my resume. I've been working as a consultant in the area of technology, have a EE degree and I'am looking into joining a VC fund focusing on technology issues. My email address is milos_pavlovic@usa.net Thank you very much. Milos Pavlovic
