I was reading a book about Venture capital recently and the author mentioned the existence of workout venture capital groups. These are groups that buy venture backed companies for pennies on the dollar and either successfully sell them to some company or push them through the ipo phase. Does anyone have any information on these types of venture capital orgranizations? Any articles? Who are the major players? Any books? Thanks.
