I have read a lot of posts on this board about getting into the VC industry. How about someone tell me what it takes to make it in the VC industry? I have read two books on VC so far. What I get so far is that a firm must specialize in the field that it invests in to be a real success and that the firm should strive to create a brand name. Is this true?
