If you have doubts about the opportunity, go with your "gutt". I suggest going into entrepreneurship before entering venture capital, since as a venture capital professional you will be expected to use your entepreneurial skills to help growing/emerging companies. Currently, if this experience does not exits, I suggest you find it.

actually I do have some entrepreneurial experience which may be why the VC chose me in the first place. I worked for them for only about 5 or 6 Fridays during the semester but they're willing to give me a good reference so I listed them on my resume.
My gut told me VC wasn't for me. But I agree that having substantive entrepreneurial experience is very helpful for a VC career.
