More relationship-centric market. Less mature capital markets [understatement]. Less established deal flow. Existing deal flow "owned" by banks/corporates. Greater cultural emphasis on being established, having a history. |

I worked in mainland China for a US direct investment company after MBA. Very frustrated experience. Legal regime is the biggest concern: vague, inconsistent interpretation, and confuse. Nevertheless I am thinking to work for another UK PE here now. This PE invests in more matured firms instead of start-up.
Has anyone any idea of how a PE in China work?
