I was at VC firm and looking for at jobs using Glocap. They sent me on a few useless interviews that were totally the wrong match. Then someone at their firm called one of our partners asking if we could use Glocap...during that conversation they told the partner that I was looking for another job! |

I only just found out about this anonymously posted message today (5/9/01) when one of our candidates brought it to my attention. I am the founder and Managing Partner of Glocap.
Not only is this email completely false and disingenuous, but the fact pattern described is absurd on its face:
(1) Glocap has a firm policy of maintaining candidate confidentiality at all times. We would NEVER disclose to a firm that we have a resume from an employee of that firm.
(2) Anonymous also claims that he/she were sent "on a few useless interviews that were totally the wrong match" which is also extremely improbable given that : 1st, in the first instance the candidate tells us which positions they want to be considered for. Therefore, unless the candidates is stupid, he/she would not sign up for jobs that were not a good match. 2nd, a recruiter at Glocap then looks at that request and only sends the resume on if the person is a good fit and has been interviewed by Glocap. 3rd, the client reviews the resume and determines whether they in fact agree and if so will interview the candidate. The probabibility that all three tests would fail and a candidate would get an interview with a "totally wrong match" is obviously minimal. That it would happen "a few times" is absurd on its face.
In short, this slanderous email written anonymously isn't worth the bit space it takes up on the Internet and we flatly deny all aspects of it and challenge is spineless author to call me directly to prove it to me. Most likely, this anonymous posting was written by our competitors who desperately want to ruin our business given that we have taken away most of theirs.
