I'm intrested in VC and wondering what the chances of breaking in would be with the following plan.:
1 year - MSE bioengineering
2-3 yrs - biotech startup
2 yrs MBA (if i have a 3.9 undergrad GPA and generally do very well (sat's - 1450) on standardized tests - can i asume i'll get into a top school?)
I'm particularly concerned about chances because my desire to do other types of business is not so strong. I would probably take another career route. Thanks for the advice!

will depend greatly on what you do at the biotech startup. Schools like Harvard and Yale only admit those who show stellar accomplishments while working in business; everyone has the grades and exam scores necessary. You can never assume you'll get in. Also, in my opinion, if you can't get into one of the top-tier school (top ten even) it's not worth going.
If you *do* accomplish a lot while working for the biotech (must/should be on the business end) I think your chances are very good. However, by the time you finish all of this, you may have a rewarding career and not want to tangent into VC. Good luck!
