leave it to a woman to provide a clear and insightful contribution to this otherwise twisted board.
-from a guy who thinks this is exactly why we need more women in industry.
(and imagine you could be sexy to boot)

I believe in using all the weapons in one's arsenal!wink, wink..
But seriously, it seems to me that the PE/VC sector seems perhaps too testosteronegized(whew!) as in "homogenized" and may be well overdo for some different perspectives and heterogeneity.
Ditto for the racial/ethnic mix. The VC's I work for are owned by
an Indian guy and a Jewish guy. After all, we are working with a GLOBAL economy and the globe is full of many different types of perspectives!
Still and all, nomatter the industry or where it's located, the fundamentals remain the same: a solid, clear, well-written and well-researched business plan; a realistic and executable revenue model; a product or service with a preferably growing market; a talented team of experienced professionals; and an extensive and deep rolodex to tap into for capital, ideas, advice and
strategic partnerships.
May have missed something...but I think I covered the essentials.
