I have been researching and making contacts in order to change careers into VC. I have zero financial or MBA qualifications.
My experience can be summed up as:
1. Retail Sales Men's Clothing
2. Poltical Campaigns
Senate and Presidential
3. Primary hire for Internet start up CitySearch in a local market.
4. Account Executive for high end Web marketing firm.
5. Account Executive in Public Relations/Event Management Firm.
I am currently making contacts with a local VC/Internet Incubator firm.They want to speak first of the year when the initial capital is raised. So I am doing as much research as I can.
Does my diverse experience bode well for being a valuable commodity?
How can I best market my skills?
any help or advice would be appreciated.
