It is really refreshing to hear such optimism about an industry that is being looked at with a microscope as of late. I congradulate you on your position and wish you all the best. If you wouldn't mind sending me your day in the life I would appreciate it.
Best,

Right now, since it's the semester, I'm only working on Fridays because my school doesn't hold classes on Fridays.
Mostly I've been reading/evaluating business plans and conducting research.
-Researching and building databases of potential investors, strategic partners and customers for the portfolio companies.
-I've been involved in initial due diligence of companies by participating in teleconferences and in-person meetings with companies interested in securing funding and asking the management team questions and giving my opinion/evaluations to the associate.
-Lastly, I've been answering phones and helping the associate with anything he may need - spreadsheets, etc.
I expect to be exposed to more of the vc cycle when I start working part-time this summer.
I set my own hours so I usually work from 2pm - 9pm, may leave earlier if they don't need my services. Of course, I also get free meals.
