In Reply To: Would anyone be interested in starting a private equity, VC or investment consulting firm for middle tier high techs, bricks and mortar businesses? I am in the process of developing a b-plan and comtemplating alternative funding models. I am located in NYC, but am interested in launching this via a digital headquarters. I have a few years of investment banking experience and want to get into private equity. I would like to start a fund of my own, perhaps concentrating on international markets. Anyone that wants to inquire contact me on sharma_samir@yahoo.com.
Message: .. if you decide to start any business you should look at your partners carefully. Starting a fund ? alone with only a few years of experience, you must be kidding me. you claim you have worked in banking: if this is true you should have a lot of relationships by now, and especially people who can be your partners.(provided that you were good enough in your job...) this sounds like a joke and i really hope it is, otherwise it's quite scary. and if it isn't a joke you should know that you are running into a wall....
