which investment banks are among the top tier in LA?
and which departments are the most prestigious there?
Private Equity?Media?Tech?
Also which are the best PE shops there (VC and/or LBO)
I would be interested in working for a bulge bracket in LA next year (I am an MBA student class of 2002)

is a very influential one in LA, that's often overlooked, htey are small but do a lot of big, important deals. Not hiring at the moment, though -- I understand from a partner.
