PWC does put out a quarterly review of companies receiving VC, but the information is often sparse and slow to market. Red Herring is the best source for information right now, but you have rely on their reporters to do the digging for you. The database my company is about to launch will allow you search for funded startups in multiple industries, by quarter or by keyword. Please let me know if you are interested--the service will be free when we make the initial launch.
