does anyone know where I can receive a list or directory of privately held, venture financed firms? I am specifically interested in high growth, technology firms- except for the life sciences. |

In response to your question, the answer is "yes." I currently manage a database of VC-backed high-tech startups (mostly in the Communications and Internet space) that have received VC in the past 3 years. We are planning on making the product commercially available over the Web in the next 2 months--we currently make the list available via hard (print) or electronic (Word, Excel, Access, etc. files) copy. The database currently contains over 1000 companies is growing every day. Let me know if I can tell you more.
