I am an orthopaedic surgeon and am in a techno MBA program in Boston. I am interested in getting into VC, figuring that my medical background would be of value. I started a medical device company that will probably to well but it's destiny is not under my direct control. Once that hand has been played and I finish my MBA I would like to get out of the practice of Medicine all together. Is there any thought out there that I might have a chance in a VC firm in a fairly high position? I am having a blast with the tech development within my start-up but would rather be involved in the way our VC members are with our BOD. My salary needs are high, 300-400K Am I out of my mind?
