3i.com is very famous in Europe. Regarding Germany, Wellington.de is a small but top tier VC firm.
I??m a student from Germany.

Thanks for responding to my message. I've heard mixed things about 3i, but will probably focus on them since they are so large. I'll also look into Wellington.de, aber mein Deutsch is zehr schlecht.
Actually, I used to work for Andersen Consulting (back before the name change) in a division that worked closely with the venture capital unit. I'm trying to get an internship/job with them, too. They are a little bit mainstream and probably not quite as exciting as most VC firms (they tend to focus their investments on businesses that can be of use to the consulting side of the business), however, the staff there are all very professional and it would get some good experience under your belt.
