I'm a VP at an internet-based financial services start-up.
My company is being acquired by a larger player (with roots in the offline world - a good thing).
I'm interested in moving on to another start-up/early stage company; my skills are better suited to there than in a larger, more structured environment.
Any suggestions as to approaching VC firms about positions in their portfolio companies? Would my desire to leave my current situation be at all viewed in a negative light?
