Anyone else tired of shrinking investment fads (B-C then B-B then telecom then fiber optic then P-P then ???)? I've looked at well over a hundred companies now. The worst can't be saved with any effort while the best will probably succeed whether or not we invest. When I began VC work almost a year ago, this was the industry that explored and backed the cool new ideas. Already, however, with billion dollar funds and machine-like selection processes I'm wondering if this industry is going to be any different from banking. Anyone else thinking about getting out of VC? |

I here ya on that one. If i read one more B2C niche version of Yahoo or another B2B exchange site bp, I will scream. I have been thinking about getting out of the VC business and was wondering what your thoughts are on a career move? I am thinking about heading to IB but was told that it will be tough to sell my story to the recruiters. What do you think?
