Anyone else tired of shrinking investment fads (B-C then B-B then telecom then fiber optic then P-P then ???)? I've looked at well over a hundred companies now. The worst can't be saved with any effort while the best will probably succeed whether or not we invest. When I began VC work almost a year ago, this was the industry that explored and backed the cool new ideas. Already, however, with billion dollar funds and machine-like selection processes I'm wondering if this industry is going to be any different from banking. Anyone else thinking about getting out of VC?
