In Reply To: Recruiters aka "headhunters" work for employers. They aren't in business to assist job hunters who want to transfer to a new industry. Employers won't pay recruiter fees for someone NOT currently in the same industry. To transfer to a new industry is difficult. Message: you're right....i used 'retain' and it made it seem like this guy could go hire a headhunter to work for him. regardless, VC recruiting isn't cut and dry. as i said before, networking is key, and it is pretty essential (with no MBA or VC experience) that your background/expertise is the same as the focus of the VC firm
