Message Name: wondering the same thing...

In Reply To: I guess I don't know enough about private equity. Do firms hire you just to make cold calls? I'm worried this sounds like some sort of chop shop to sell loans. If this is the case how are you paid in a cold call environment? I come from an investment banking environment and we get bonuses and pay regardless. Someone please help me out here and help me figure out whether these kinds of places are commission only chop shops or not...
Message: I was wondering the same thing.. I had an interview coming up that was mysteriously rescheduled last minute after i wrote up some "cold-call" emails for the company - i don't htink they are that useful, or if my work was that bad. This job is not on a comission basis, right?
