Message: I'm a first year financial analyst at a biotech company (graduated 2004). In the job hunt, I had a couple informational interviews with some biotech VC firms in NYC. It seems like something I want to get into down the road. I want to get my MBA from a school with a good healthcare focus (Fuqua) - I want to enter in the fall of 2006. After this, I will have 2 years of biotech industry work, an MBA, and I was pre-med in college (and finance). Does this seem like a good path to a biotech VC firm? I haven't completely written off getting my PhD in pharmacology, but with the timing, it most likely isn't in the cards. Should I seriously consider the PhD? Just wondering how the overall plan sounds...Any opinions/tips are appreciated...
